Welcome back!
Wedding gifts don’t have to be expensive to be affordable–and that includes personalized gifts. You can find items that make extremely nice personalized gifts that are, nevertheless, quite affordable.
Some personalized gifts that don’t cost a fortune include monogrammed handkerchiefs, monogrammed towel / washcloth sets, engraved bud vases, engraved mugs, and monogrammed pillow case sets.
However, if you want to make your personalized gifts as affordable as possible, you’ll probably want to stay away from the traditional brick-and-mortal stores and even away from the traditional wedding catalog. Today, it’s all about the Internet. There are a number of good sources online where you can find personalized wedding gifts that are as much as 25% less than more traditional outlets. One word of caution though: Make sure you deal only with online sources that can prove they are trustworthy. This means dealers which you or your friends have heard of, or if you haven’t heard of them, make sure that a Google search on the company turns up only good reviews–nothing bad.
Of course, not all wedding gifts have to be monogrammed or engraved. There are a whole host of other things you could buy for wedding gifts that will be appreciated, classy, and yet not cost a fortune. Some suggestions: You could buy personalized photo crystals or some kitchen stuff like serving spoons or perhaps even some gourmet ingredients. Keep in mind that most new couples could use kitchen items such as mixing bowls, slotted spoons and kitchen towels. Tie these together with a nice bow and it will cost you only $20 to $30.
Another unique, affordable idea: Frame the couple’s wedding invitation. You just buy an attractive frame and a mat for it. Or if you prefer not to frame the invitation, then frame a poem that you know means something special to the couple, or one that’s romantic. These unique wedding gifts will only cost $5 to $30.
You might also consider buying the couple the ingredients needed to prepare a romantic dinner. These ingredients might include a few candles tied with a nice ribbon, a jar of higher-quality spaghetti sauce, plus a box of pasta, tied with a dessert kit. This shouldn’t cost any more than $20 to $35.
Wedding shower gifts can be just as affordable as wedding gifts. For instance, a bottle of bubble bath would always be appreciated by your guests, and combined with a nice set of wash cloths, this makes for welcome wedding shower gifts. There are some nice keychains that can be bought online and actually engraved with the guests’ initials, and won’t cost more than $10. These are always much-appreciated wedding shower gifts. Expecting a lot of male guests? Consider buying and engraving some stainless steel pocket knives. At the right place, these can also be purchased for no more than $10 or $15 apiece. Whatever you do, just keep in mind that wedding shower gifts are all about communicating appreciation–so there’s no sense breaking your budget with them.
